I just heard from both Lyle Krewson and DeWayne Johnson that there will be a subcommittee hearing on the Bottle Bill. DeWayne's message follows. Please contact the four legislators listed below before 9 a.m. Tuesday so they can hear your views on the Bottle Bill.

Neila Seaman

From DeWayne Johnson, Executive Director, Iowa Recycling Association
There will be a meeting of the Senate Subcommittee on
SF39 (the Brunkhorst Bottle Bill) tomorrow morning
(3/1) at 9:00 a.m. in Room 22 behind the Senate.

It is important that the subcommittee members are
contacted by IRA members and other Bottle Bill
supporters so that they recognize that we simply need
the Bottle Bill UPDATED, not OVERHAULED. This
obviously isn't the piece of legislation we were most
in favor of (SF107), but it's a piece that will get
the conversation started.

Please remind them of the importance of acting this
session and the impacts of inaction.

Please contact:
Senators Putney, Schoenjahn, Hancock, and Kettering
