In today's DM Register, there is an article about a new destructive worm,
called "Goner". This is an Internet worm that can spread to other computers
on its own. It is very harmless looking, according to McAfee virus
researchers who were scrambling to protect their customers against it.
The e-mail for this worm has a subject line of "Hi," and it asks the user to
check an attached screen saver program.
DO NOT open messages like this. Delete them without opening.
Some users of this listserve might have received a worm during this past
week from PCCB -- which is Brad Friedhof's e-mail address. If you received
a message from PCCB during the past week, delete it also without opening.
Brad has since taken care of his "virus".
Thanks,
Jane Clark
