Please accept my apology, the time for the 2 LitDrops below should have read
10:00 a.m.

Thank you! We need you never the less!

Iowa Sierrans:

What another great Fall Day.

As the Environmental Voter Education Campaign Coordinator for Iowa Sierra
Club this year, I am charged with recruiting dozens, even hundreds, of
volunteers to help with EVEC campaign activities. So far, more than 100
people have helped in some way, many of them not even Sierra Club members,
but people committed to protecting our environment and our resources, for
our families for our future.

I am today contacting you with the following request.

On this Saturday, 10/19, at 9:30 am to Noon, we are making our final LitDrop
of the 2002 EVEC Campaign. We will be taking Voter Guides on the
Harkin/Ganske and Latham/Norris races door to door in selected precincts in
Ames and Indianola.

For the Ames litdrop, we will be gathering this Saturday, 9:30 am, in front
of the Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Avenue (between Kellogg & Duff, on
5th). We need 10-15 volunteers to get this one done, no more than 2 hours.
Sherry Dragula, Don Wall and Hamlin Krewson are coordinating this event.
Thanks to them!

For the Indianola litdrop, we will be gathering this Saturday, 9:30 am, in
front of the home of our coordinator, Dennis Nicholson, 903 North C Street.
We need 15-20 volunteers to get this one done, no more than 2 hours. Thanks
to Dennis for coordinating this one

Both events will be lots of fun and good exercise! Almost like an urban
hike!

The request is:

Would you be available to help? With which event (chose the closer one.)

And, would you also have family or friends who would be available to help,
maybe students needing class credits?

We really need your participation in this final important EVEC Campaign
push!

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY VOLUNTEERED TO HELP WITH THIS EVENT, YOU NEED TAKE NO
FURTHER ACTION WITH THIS EMAIL. And, Thank You! for that volunteering.

If I can offer any additional information, I am available. Please let me
know your personal response. And, Thanks for your consideration.

Lyle Krewson
Sierra Club, Iowa Chapter
EVEC Coordinator
