I watched the 4-hour CSPAN tape yesterday as I recovered and took the time
to read the DMR and the New York Times. Once the event was about 2-hours in,
and we had been working for even longer than that, then the bags started
being pretty visible, in numbers, our signs we spread in the crowd after the
speeches started, so began to be seen.[They showed up better that most of
the candidate ones because of there great yellow/blue color combo, wish we
could have gotten more of them into the crowd.]
Where we really made the show was as Clinton was working the fence greeting
people after his speech. For a full 15 minutes our banner and several signs
were the total background of his fence working as he paused to have some
extended interview with a press person. That was great coverage.
Reports are that there were a bit over 5000 people at the event. We gave out
about 1700 bags, for which people signed our petitions. So....every 3rd
person was carrying a CLEAN ENERGY bag!
