It looks like they are planning a real dandy energy bill from this report. 
The republicans start off by creating ANOTHER new position of Under Secretary 
for Science and two Assistant Secretaries. So much for making the government 
smaller.
The only mention of energy conservation is Senator Wyden's anemic plan to 
increase CAFE standards by one mile per year, so it would take ten years to 
improve MPG from 25 to 35. 
And three point three billion to develop hydrogen? Good luck there. 
 The change in Daylight Saving Time would have sunrise at 8:30 - 9 in some 
areas. 
And finally we are going back to nuclear so maybe somebody will come up with 
an idea on how to recycle all that nuclear waste we have lying around the 
country. Maybe we can use some of that clean coal to incinerate it.    Jerry
