There is an interim storage facility for spent fuel rods being proposed for Texas.  The comment period ends on Nov. 19.


High level nuclear waste is expected to be put on rail cars, on barges, and on trucks on the interstate -- and shipped to Andrews County, Texas.  Iowa will be part of the transportation corridor.



This is in addition to the facility proposed for New Mexico.
