I am working on two restoration project. One 31 acre short grass prairie in
Loess Hills in Council Bluffs Iowa and a 13 acre tallgrass prairie north of
Omaha. I am in need of help to do the projects. Ideally it would be a young
person who like to get restoration experience. Now the big problem is that
it would be an unpaid job.
The person would learn equipment maintenance and operation,
prescribed burning, pest management, relationship with local state and
federal government, working with other NGO's and public, inventories,
erosion control, recycling trash, recycling wood products, write
restoration plans, reviewing contractors bids, writing RFP, public
relations, giving tours, fund raising and many other thinks I forgot. Now
would that look good on a young persons resume. If by some chances there is
a person willing to work for nothing and lives some were near Omaha let me
know.
