I think the statement the 'Thoreau got it wrong' refers to the article
beginning on page 34. The line under the title - 'Silent Running - begins "A
stroll through the woods can inspire... Perhaps it is a rather sneaky way to
attract people to buy the issue at a news stand based on the cover. 8^)

Subject: Re: Dubuque in Sierran magazine

While we're talking about Sierra Magazine, I have the July/August 2011 issue
here, and on the front cover in big type it says "Thoreau Was Wrong". Yet
inside the magazine I have found no mention of Thoreau, or of what he was
wrong about. Has anyone found an explanation of the cover headline on the
inside pages of this issue of Sierra?

On the complete streets topic, we need to devote as much of our resources
to keeping sidewalks free of mud, puddles, snow, ice, and low tree branches
as we do to keeping streets and roads clear of those impediments to
traffic.
