There will be a special program on the ARCTIC NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE to be
held at the Urbandale Public Library on Saturday, August 4th, at 1:30 PM.
Please come and bring a friend!

What would you do to save something you love?
Two sisters decided to bike across America to raise
their voices for a land that cannot speak in words -
the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

WHAT: A presentation and discussion of the devastating impacts oil
development would have on the pristine Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

WHO: Sisters Emily and Betsy Ferry are biking across America this summer in
a campaign to raise awareness and protect the Arctic National Wildlife
Refuge from the devastation of oil drilling. The young women, who started
the tour on June 5, are pedaling from Seattle, Wash., to Washington, D.C.,
visiting cities and towns across the nation to encourage protection of the
national treasure while promoting alternative energy production and
conservation.

WHEN: Saturday, August 4, 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Urbandale Public Library, Room A
                3520 86th Street
                Urbandale

Ride for the Refuge
A bike ride to save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

Ride for the Refuge comes at a critical time for our last great wilderness.
With the Bush administration's release of a new energy plan, the Arctic
Refuge is threatened more than ever by big oil development. The Ferry
sisters will ride through 12 states on their way to Washington, DC and share
their message with thousands of concerned citizens.

Join us to learn more about the splendors of this last great wilderness.
