A great speaker for earth day would be Wayne Peterson of the NRCS. He is
an urban conservationist who advocates planting native species in order to
produce no run-off urban areas.
He lives in Iowa City. If you are interested I will ask him if I can pass
his email on to you. He can talk also about roof-top gardens. Extra
insulation, extra oxygen production, less runoff.
