FYI
From John Holtzclaw in San Francisco, CA:

Hi all,

Our Board of Supervisors Legislative Analysts have published an excellent
report on Smart Growth. It is on the City of San Francisco's webpage at
http://www.ci.sf.ca.us/bdsupvrs/leganalyst/r081800.htm.

It describes the characteristics of Smart Growth, with examples from around
the country and world, research (including the Location Efficient Mortgage),
and our local, regional and state conditions. We should strategize on how to
make good use of this report.

Some will be most interested in Manhattan's parking requirements. Others
will be fascinated in the housing, including affordable housing. It turns
out that the author of the report worked for the Sierra Club some years ago.

John Holtzclaw
