Norton Confirmation Update

The Senate will vote on Gale Norton's confirmation as Interior Secretary
on Tuesday, January 30.  Last week, the Senate Energy and Natural
Resources committee voted on Norton's nomination which passed the
committee. Only 2 senators, Sen. Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. Wyden
(D-OR),voted against the Norton nomination in committee.

Sen. Kerry (D-MA)publicly opposed Norton and Sen.Clinton(D-NY)will
