Here are the bills I track for Sierra Club during the 2001 session with
actions occurring accumulated in the narrative. Note that I include the Bill
#, Bill Title, and some notes of milestones. Many bills have been not even
been drafted and introduced as of this writing. Bills have through Friday,
March 16, to be reported out of Committee in order to clear the ³First
Funnel². This report includes those bills that were eligible for action thru
February 23, 2001.
Obviously, much of our attention so far has been on the Bottle Deposit
Expansion bills. Working with the Beautiful Land Coalition, we favor an
expansion of the current bottle deposit system.
As always, I continue to take pride in my association with the Iowa Chapter
of Sierra Club. Thanks. Lyle Krewson
