Subject: Percy Schmeiser vs. Monsanto
You can listen on line...
Canadian canola farmer Percy Schmeiser may be 70 years old, but he is still
farming and still standing up for his rights against the multinational
agrochemical company Monsanto, who won a court case that, unbelievably,
awarded Monsanto Schmeiser's profits, perhaps his life savings after fifty
years of farming, after Schmeiser's crop was contaminated with Monsanto's
patented GMO canola.
Hear the story from Mr. Schmeiser himself, and call in your questions,
during a special one hour special hosted by Claire Hope Cummings, food and
farming editor at KPFA in Berkeley KFCF in Fresno or on the web.
Tuesday April 17th at 7 AM Pacific Daylight Time
