SIERRA CLUB'S NEW WILD AMERICA VIDEO NOW AVAILABLE!

The Bitterroot-Mission Group of the Montana Chapter of the Sierra Club is
pleased to announce the release of the Sierra Club's new video, "Those
Tremendous Mountains - Protecting the Wildland Legacy of Lewis and Clark in
the Northern Rockies."

The video celebrates the wildlands and wildlife of the Northern Rockies and
acknowledges what's been lost since Lewis and Clark explored the region.
The video highlights the Sierra Club's Wild America Campaign to Protect and
Restore the Wildlands of the Northern Rockies.

WHAT'S IT ABOUT? The video explains the importance of the Northern Rockies
(Montana, Wyoming and Idaho) to wildlife such as grizzly bears, wolves, and
bull trout, as well as the threats posed to the region by oil and gas
development, logging, roadbuilding, and off-road vehicles. It shows the
beauty of the mountains and rivers of the Northern Rockies and tells the
story of what has been lost and what remains of America's wild heritage. It
also includes specific suggestions for things that people can do to help
protect the region.

WHO WILL WATCH IT? This video is 18 minutes long and is suitable for
showing at Sierra Club events and meetings. It can also be used as an
outreach tool for schools and other organizations that are interested in
the upcoming Lewis and Clark bicentennial.

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS AVAILABLE The video comes with additional information
about the campaign as well as a map that shows the journey of the Corps of
Discovery and the wildlife they encountered along the way.

HOW DO I GET A COPY? Please contact Jennifer Ferenstein, preferably by
email at [log in to unmask] or call 406-543-0079. *PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR
NAME AND MAILING ADDRESS!*

PLEASE NOTE: The Lewis and Clark video was funded by a 501(c)(3)
tax-deductible grant from The Sierra Club Foundation. Any discussion or
materials presented with it must also comply with Sierra Club and Sierra
Club Foundation policies related to the use of 501(c)(3) funds as well.
This includes no legislative lobbying or electioneering. The video is to be
used to educate individuals about the need to protect the lands of Lewis
and Clark. It cannot be used to advocate any legislative approaches
directly to legislators or executive branch officials or to encourage
grassroots activists to contact legislators. If you are unsure about these
limitations, please consult with Christine Phillips [log in to unmask]) or
406-587-9626 before presenting.
