Iowa SEED (Sustainable Energy for Economic Development) is offering a series
of public forums on renewable energy topics and how wind farms & biomass
production will improve the future of Iowa 's rural economy.
The next meeting will be held this Saturday, April 28th - at Forest City
High School, from 10 am. - 1 pm.
Free public forum - Presenters at the Forest City event will include:
Darwin and Lois McConkey -Alta Farm family, will discuss their experience
with wind turbines
Ed Woolsey - Board of Directors, Iowa Renewable Energy Association (I-Renew)
Angela Chen - Executive Officer, Energy Bureau, Department of Natural
Resources
Ronald O.Kvale - Forest City High School teacher, local wind turbine
education
Forest City High School 's ELECTRATHON TEAM will be displaying their
electric vehicles before and after the presentations
Forest City High School is located at 206 W.School St. in Forest City
