Per Tom Mathew's request, here again are the details of the Iowa Chapter
Annual meeting as they appeared in the IOWA SIERRAN.
Sierra Club's Eagle View Group will host the Iowa Chapter's Annual Meeting
and Dinner October 20, 2001. Departing from tradition, this year's meeting
will be open to the public, and a fundraiser for Chad Pagracke. Chad Has won
worldwide acclaim for his tireless efforts in cleaning up trash from the
Mississippi, Illinois, and Ohio Rivers. In addition to his work of picking
everything out of the river from cans to refrigerators to cars, Chad
organized the "Adopt a River Mile" Campaign to utilize citizens of river
communities to carry on what he began.

The Annual Meeting will be at the Holiday Inn at 53rd and Brady in Davenport.
Brady street is highway 61 and intersects I-80. The Holiday Inn is about 2
miles south of I-80. Turn left off the South bound one way on to 53rd and
then turn right into the holiday Inn.
Social hour begins at 6 PM with dinner at 7 PM. Chad will be the featured
speaker, and awards will be given to those who have done outstanding work in
the environmental community. The cost to attend is $25. A great evening is
planned with a very nice meal, an opportunity to hear Chad and a time to
socialize. All proceeds go to help clean up our rivers.
Come early and bring your bike, roller blades or just enjoy a walk on the
Quad Cities' recreational trails that cover more than 30 miles.
To reserve you place at the Annual Dinner, send a check for $25 for each
attendee to:
Jerry Neff, Box 239, Pleasant Valley, IA. 52767
Out of towners may call (800) 465 4329 for room reservations at a special
rate of $69.
Reservations must be received NO LATER THAN October13th. Make checks payable
to the Sierra Club. See you in Davenport on October 20! P.s. If you are a
vegetarian please indicate when you send your check.
