To contact the Senators: Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121
and ask to be connected to Sen. Harkin and Sen. Grassley.
It is being reported that the Senate is hearing a lot
from Corporate Agriculture and not from
our side on the issue of not giving CAFO's money.
We need calls to Senate Agriculture
Committee members and will eventually need calls to every
Senator. The target Senators are from the states of
Arkansas, Georgia , Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky,
Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska,
North Dakota, South Dakota.
Here is a list of Senators:
Tim Hutchinson and Blanche Lambert-Lincoln are both members.
Zell Miller. Sen. Cleland if they have time.
Peter Fitzgerald. Sen. Durbin if they have time.
Richard Lugar, ranking member. Sen. Bayh if they have the time.
Tom Harkin, chair. Sen. Grassley if they have the time.
Mitch McConnell. Sen. Bunning if they have the time.
Debbie Stabenow. Sen. Levin if they have the time.
Mark Dayton and Paul Wellstone are both committee member
Thad Cochran
Max Baucus
Ben Nelson
Kent Conrad
Tom Daschle
Patrick Leahy. Sen. Jeffords if they have the time.
Here is the talking point.

make these factories eligible for the taxpayer-financed
