The "Beautify Iowa" pins came from the new organization headed up by Gerry
Schnepf -- I think it's called Keep Iowa Beautiful. Look for their checkoff
on the Iowa State Tax Return. *Or better yet, don't look for it.*
If you are willing to donate money through your tax return, please consider
the Fish and Wildlife Trust Fund. This is what used to be called the
Chickadee Checkoff, and is the fund that helps support the Wildlife
Diversity Program of the DNR (the non-game program). This program depends
largely on the generous contributions of Iowans, and the program receives NO
state dollars. It is competing with the State Fair checkoff (the state fair
has a huge budget and has other sources of revenue) and now will compete
with the Iowa Beautiful checkoff, which ....................................
