I don't think there is a whole lot we can do right now.  The Legislature will
be back in session in January and there will be efforts to create a bill to
end the 23 year old deposit law.  HyVee stores have been actively soliciting
signatures for a petition to do away with the bottle bill.  I have told the
manager I didn't like what they were doing and if they are successful I will
no longer shop there.  This would be a good time to contact our state
representatives while they are at home to let them know we want to keep the
Bottle Bill.  Jerry Neff
