Rick, Thanks for sending out the offer to everyone.  I am sending a copy to
Doug Aupperle, our outings chairperson for the Central Iowa Group.  If you
could give him a call, there is the possability that he can get something
scheduled in the summer newsletter for the summer outings you had in mind.  I
know coming from Clear Lake would be a long drive, but you are welcome to
attend the outings potluck on April 9th.
It will be at my house on the east side of Des Moines, not far off I-35/235.
If you are interested I can send you more details.  You're of cousre welcome
to contact members  the way you contacted me, we just can't publicize it as a
Sierra Outing.  Keep me informed.  I would especially be interested in the
biking outing, but it will depend on when you get it scheduled.  The first
two weeks in July are out for me.  I don't know if I will be doing summer
school yet or not.  Doug's number is 515-247-0159.  Unfortunately he does not
 have e-mail.  I hope you are able to talk with him!  Good luck on finding
other available people for your other outing ideas!  They sound great, I just
