Please see my letter to the editor in the Tribune, Ames about the bottle
bill. It should appear today or a few days from now.
I think the CAFO should abolish the House 519, because it is a bill
designed to promote factory hog operations at the expense of the small
farmer. The small farmers need to be able to raise hogs to survive, and
this bill has driven the small farmers out of business, and aggravated our
waste disposal problems. Furthermore, when the small farmers move off the
farms, the small towns will die also. So this bill really has hurt Iowa.
