About 150 attended a Black Hawk County public forum Friday afternoon.  When
I made my opening remarks, I posed several questions and requested a show of
hands.

1) How many of you can tell me how much more money you're keeping as a
result of the income tax cut we passed three years ago?

No hands went up.

2) How many remember GETTING that income tax cut?

A half-dozen hands were raised.

3) Would you be willing to suspend that tax cut until we get the state
budget back in the black?

All but three people raised their hands.

A little food for thought...
