 CONSERVATION NEWS:

 Lands:
 - Defense Department bill comes to the House floor this week.  It would
 waive the Endangered Species Act and migratory bird protections for
 military training, and would allow for wilderness destruction.

 Environmental Quality:
 - Final vote on Farm Bill conference report this Thursday.
 - EPA announced last Friday that it was changing definition of fill,
 meaning mountain-top removal mining, which dumps the tops of mountains in
 waterways, will be allowed.
 - National Rally for Rail Day, Wednesday.

 Energy:
 - House vote on Yucca Mountain (nuclear waste disposal) this week.

 International:
 - Fast track Senate vote won't happen until after Memorial Day.
