Sierrans and friends:
The House Environmental Protection Committee did vote HJR 10, nullifying the
DNR's recently promulgated air quality rules, out of committee at 8 pm or so
last evening. There is to be a hearing at 7 pm on Monday. You all need to
show up!
The House will be in session today, but you can call them there ‹
515-281-3221 ‹ or at home in your communities over the weekend. Show up at
their Saturday 'coffees' or 'community meetings.'
The Senate Commerce Committee voted a companion resolution out at about 3 pm
yesterday. The Senate is now home for the weekend, after a marathon session
last night on the "Re-Inventing Government" bill. So start contacting them
at home about the air quality rules.
If anyone needs to contact me, my cell is 238-7113, if I can find it back at
the Capitol (I walked out without it!)
