Orlando--I don't think there has been any change in how the Iowa Topics
e-mail is delivered. However, you might have made a change in how your
computer is set up to receive messages. I noticed that when I hit reply to
your message, both your address and the IOWA TOPICS address appear in the
"To:" line, which is not usually the case on this listserve.
A few of the other listserves I am on do have "identifiers in the subject
line" such as:
Subject: [ia-bird] Golden-crowned sparrow; directions
Subject: [IOWA-NATIVE-PLANTS] FW: HF 2050 Subcommittee Meeting
But I don't know of listserves where there is an "identifier in the sender
line"--that identifier is created by the sender, not the listserve.
I agree we all are concerned about SPAM and viruses. I think it's a good
idea to have a clear subject stated in the subject line and it would be good
if everyone identified themselves in the messages.
