Members of the "Iowa Air Quality Coalition" who supported the bill HSB 695
which was voted on yesterday in the Iowa Legislature...a bill that would
regulate air quality include:

Agribusiness Association of Iowa
ABI
Iowa Cattlemen's Assoc.
Iowa Corn Growers Assoc.
Iowa Dairy Products Assoc.
Iowa Farm Bureau
Iowa Institute for Cooperatives
Iowa League of Cities
Iowa Pork Producers
Iowa Poultry Association
Iowa Soybean Assoc.
Iowa State Dairy Assoc.
Iowa Turkey Federation

In the Des Moines Register,
Rep. Rob Hogg of Cedar Rapids said the bill represents "a radical departure
on Iowa environmental law," which he said has given state agencies the power
to regulate what the federal government does not.

Top state environmental officials said the proposed legislation wouldn't
protect Iowans' health.
