PRAIRIELAND FARMERS UNION TO HOST DINNER AND DEBATE OCT. 4
MASON CITY--The North Iowa Prairieland Chapter of Iowa Farmers Union will
sponsor a candidate debate and dinner meeting on Monday, October 4,
beginning at 6 p.m. at the Izaak Walton League near Kensett.
The meeting is open to the public as well as Prairieland Chapter members. A
brief business meeting and pork sandwich dinner will begin at 6 p.m.,
followed at 7 p.m. by a candidate debate between 4th District US
Congressional candidate Paul Johnson (confirmed) and incumbent Rep. Tom
Latham (invited), as well as John Drury (confirmed), candidate for Iowa
Senate in District 6 and incumbent Thurman Gaskill (invited). Izaak Walton
League is located one mile north of Kensett on Highway 65.
