State level results in Iowa.
No change in Congressional delegation.
No state level statewide races this year.
I SPOKE TOO SOON:
Iowa House...continues GOP, but with more final results, appears now to be
51 GOP - 49 DEM, and one of the 51 is having a re-count, although I don't
expect it to change>
SENATE NOW APPEARS to be: 25-25, [25-24 with one GOP Senator in Iraq.]
We have one very strong environmental GOP in the Senate who delivers for us
through personal strength, so we will be OK there.
It is not clear yet, how this close divide in both chambers will impact
decision-making......but the nice thing is that all the left- and right-wing
stuff falls away and they have to govern from the center, I believe.
For those who have ever experienced close divides or even splits, please
give me advice and feedback on how to anticipate this experience. We have
never had that in my lifetime.
