Subject: 2006 Arctic Wilderness Week is coming
Date: Wed, 1 Feb 2006 11:35:47 -0600
Dear Alaska Coalition Leaders of Iowa,
I am once again looking for people interested in coming to Washington DC in
March (4-8) for the Wilderness Week. This is a great opportunity for anyone
interested in seeing first hand how DC operates, or would like the chance to
speak with your Members offices directly. Learn about issues surrounding
Wilderness, in particular the wild Alaska lands of the Arctic National
Wildlife Refuge and Tongass National Forest, and meet many, many like-minded
people from around the country. It is a fun-filled, and educational event.
Full Scholarships are available for airfare and hotel for "point" people -
consituents of either Reps Nussle or Leach.
(we are also meeting with Rep Boswell and Senator Grassley's offices.)
The full announcement is below - please consider joining this great event,
and pass this on to anyone you think might be interested.
thanks,
Lois Norrgard
