Charles,
I did email Geri, George,Mike May, and David Johnson.
Dickinson County is having a crisis. Would Sierra Club be able to help?
Donna Buell is starting the Prairie Lakes Sierra Club for our 7 counties,
but we need help quickly.
New Fashion Farms from MN plans to establish 15 confinement operations in
Dickinson County as soon as possible. One is being planned just 1440 feet
from the Little Sioux River.
Phone me at 712 332-2304 or email some suggestions.
Thanks.
Jan Grant

Subject: ACTION ALERT on CAFO's and Water Quality

TheAdministrative Rules Committee will vote Aug 8 on
the DNR's director's discretionary rule
This allows the DNR director to deny permits for
CAFO's if he(or She) believes they will adversely
affect water quality.
We need Sierrans to contact:

&

(Boone,Calhoun,Hamilton,and Webster Counties)

The Farm Bureau has been sending hundreds of e-mails
opposing the rule to Rules Committee members
