Dear Neila, Please join us this Monday for a fun and informative evening with conservation leaders, students, birders, and others interested in America’s wildlife, and the presentation of an Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The evening will feature slides from world-renowned photographers, stories from those who have traveled to the Arctic, and information about how you can get involved in the  campaign to protect America's Arctic Refuge.   The featured speaker will be ornithologist and photographer Paul Konrad.  Paul has studied birds in all 7 continents and 44 countries.  Nevertheless, he considers Alaska's Arctic to be one of the best areas to study and photograph birds. He is looking  forward to sharing his experiences. All attendees will have the opportunity to win a copy of Arctic Wings: Birds of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, published by Mountaineers Books as well as Patagonia apparrel. The Birds of Alaska's Arctic Are Coming to Iowa! Due to a scheduling change, the Des Moines presentation has been combined with the Ames presentation. We look forward to seeing you there.
