Yes We Can!

But not on CAFOs, VOICE, or other pesky, progressive issues...at least  
not in the HOuse.  Note Murphy's creation of "permanent, standing  
SUBcommittees" and the Reps. he's appointed to them.  Note too the  
rule change:  the Speaker and Majority Leader can assign a bill  
directly to a subcommittee, bypassing the committee chair. Thus Murphy  
has set up a mechanism for sending legislation he doesn't like  
straight to a hostile subcommitte that will kill it.
