Year: Anatomy of the Iowa Floods of 2008; Lessons Learned - Preparing for
the Future."
The symposium will feature experts in flood-related fields, a book signing
and a panel discussion about how Iowa is preparing for the future. The event
will take place at the State Historical Building, 600 E. Locust St. in Des
Moines, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

hydrologists, economists, public policy experts, engineers and community
managers about what caused the floods in 2008, what can be learned from the

Engineering, edited the book and will be part of the panel.
