Also worth noting is their obsession with drainage tiles as an answer to storms. Stating this "status quo" approach is a sure sign they don't like the writing on the wall.
Our legislative agenda should respond in the 2011 legislative session with the importance of basin-wide, urban/rural responses to the 100 year floods that seem to be arriving every couple years. We must ReCOVER Iowa with alternative and perennial crops.

Subject: Farm Bureau 2011 legislative priorities
Attached is an article about the Iowa Farm Bureau's legislative priorities. Especially interesting is the suggestion that the EPC should be dissolved and the Legislature be in charge of enviornmental regulation.
