State, Local, and Tribal Leaders Task Force on Climate Preparedness – In the President’s Climate Action Plan, President Obama committed to establishing a State, Local and Tribal Leaders Task Force on Climate Preparedness to advise the Administration on the best practices for supporting state and local resilience efforts and improving efforts to protect communities. The White House is seeking nominations; if you would like to nominate a local or Tribal elected official to serve on the Task Force, please send an email to [log in to unmask] (to nominate a Governor please send an email to [log in to unmask], or [log in to unmask] for a tribal leader) with the name, title, city/county/tribe, contact information and reason for nominating. The deadline to nominate an elected official is July 26, 2013.
