There is a public meeting at Littlefield Park at 9:00 a.m. Saturday,
January 30, for a tour of the timbered area that has been harvested by
Audubon County Conservation Board.

Following that is a meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the community center in Exira.

This is a timber that has never seen the plow, according to family member
Joan Hitzel. Her family donated the land to ISU in the 60s and it was
later transferred to the Audubon County. According to Joan and others, it
is an area super-rich in wildflowers -- it was a place where time stopped.
