Hi All,

Ed Fallon will be in Davenport making a presentation called "Urban Sprawl and
Its Impact on You" on Tuesday, November 30, 7 pm. This will be at St. John's
United Methodist Church at 14th and Brady St., Davenport. There will also be
the premiere showing of "Cornerstones" a new video about the impact of sprawl
on our cities, towns and countryside.

Ed Fallon has served in the Iowa Legislature for seven years, representing a
central city community. His interest in protectin farmland from urban
sprawl, preserving natural areas and revitalizing urban centers led to
legislative action creating a statewide commission to study land use issues.
He is presently leading the effort to pass comprehensive land use legislation
inIowa to curtail urban sprawl and promote smart growth.

We may also be getting involved in legislation on this issue in the next Iowa
Legislature. So this would be an excellent opportunity to continue the
learning began by our "Smart Growth Conference" held in October. Or, if you
didn't attend, this presentation can get you up to speed on the issue. The
Eagle View Group has set this issue as a priority within the group.

If you have any questions you can call me at 319-289-4274 or Quad Cities
Interfaith, Tom Boswell, at 319-322-4910

Sheila
