A local Rapid City TV station is taking a poll on the amount of timber harvesting on the 'hills. Right now, we are losing 1100 to 100. Point your browser to: http://www.fox7.blackhills.com/cgi-bin/poll_it.cgi The Black Hills has one small wilderness, 8,500 miles of roads, and just a few small roadless areas. Though botanically unique and exceedingly beautiful, the BHNF has been treated like a sacrifice zone and needs much greater protection. Only a recent lawsuit by Biodivesity Associates and other groups has postponed cutting in one of the remaining roadless areas...
