There are two listserves available relating to the upcoming  election for the Sierra Club¹s Board of Directors.  They are open to all members, but only to members. The first is for free discussion of the qualifications of the candidates, and as a member-only list, subscription is through the ³LISTGUARD² mechanism, not the normal subscription process.  You can send the following message for subscription instructions:

SUBJECT: (ignored and may be left blank)
MESSAGE: INFO BOD-CANDIDATES-OPEN-FORUM

There are some limitations on the number of postings.  A nice feature--subscribers will be given the option of a digest feature that willl have an entire day¹s postings come as a single posting at the end of the day. Information about this will be sent after you subscribe.

The second list is not a forum, but rather a weekly posting of all candidates¹ responses to a few questions posed to them at the start of each week.  The volume on this list is generally less than ten messages a week, all posted by the list owner.  For information about that list, send this message:

SUBJECT: (ignored and may be left blank)
MESSAGE:  INFO BOD-CANDIDATES-FORUM

Incidentally, I have copied the addresses as they were sent to me, but if your letter to the first one is rejected, I would try putting the address in caps.
