I don't usuallly forward attachments, but I will try this one. Please contact Diane Moles if you want more information. I did attend one or two of these meetings, however, I did not have any input. Jane Clark ---------- From: Diane Moles <[log in to unmask]> Subject: WS Rules - Notice of Public Hearing Date: June 27, 2000 6:50 AM It's been several months since you've heard from me regarding the water supply and operator certification rules. The rules were approved for hearing at the May 15th Environmental Protection Commission meeting. There are six hearings scheduled around the state, from July 6 - 20, and the comment period ends on July 26th. Attached is the two-page Word 97 document which is the notice of the public hearings for the Water Supply & Operator Certification Rules. The rules (amendments only) were printed in the June 14th Iowa Administrative Bulletin, which is located at: http://www.legis.state.ia.us/Rules/2000/Bulletin/acb000614.html. The WS rules (Chapters 40-43, 83) are listed in item ARC 9888A, beginning on page 1811. The Op Cert rules (Chapter 81) are listed in item ARC 9886A, beginning on page 1858. FYI: There are two problems that I noted on the web version - one is that the fonts are off on some of the tables, although the content is correct; the other is that some of the calculations didn't translate electronically, and so are printed incorrectly. Both of these problems are due to electronic manipulation/transmission of the documents; the hardcopy of the IAB is correct. If you want a hardcopy sent to you, please e-mail or call me (515/281-8863), and I'll get it sent out. Please specify if you want both sets (Chapters 40-43, 83 are in one group, and Chapter 81 is in a separate group). If you have any comments on Chapters 40-43, 83, send them to me; comments on Chapter 81, send to Mike Wiemann. Please include your name and address on the comment for the public record. Thank you very much for your assistance in developing these rules. We realize this process takes a significant amount of effort on your part, and very much appreciate your involvement. Sincerely, Diane Moles Water Supply Section, Iowa Department of Natural Resources 515/281-8863 ----------
