I think we ought to consider an alternatives to growth organization for Iowa.

Growth in population and consumption of non-renewable resources is the root
cause of all environmental problems. Yet it's taken as an undeniable first
principle by politicians of both major parties--and by many other
leaders--that Iowa needs to grow.

AGO's president, Andy Kerr, will be a panel speaker at the Third Annual
Symposium on Environmental Affairs to be held at Lewis and Clark College on
October 16-20, 2000. Andy will be on a panel with Jerry Taylor of the CATO
Institute and Albert Kaufman of ZPG speaking about the impact of human
population growth on Wednesday, October 18th at 7:30 p.m.
