Environmental Advocates (EA) is accepting applications for its fall grants program. Proposed projects should show clear environmental benefits to the Johnson County area and support EA's overall mission of making our local environment cleaner, safer and more life-sustaining. Priority will be given to one-time grants. Applications for yearly support for continuing projects are discouraged. A total of $750 will be awarded, with a maximum award of $500 for any one grant. Applications are due Oct. 30. For more information, call (319) 339-7828 or visit the EA web site at www.jccn.iowa-city.ia.us/~envadvoc for a copy of the application form. EA was formed in 1987 to promote awareness of and to address local environmental issues. Note: This is a personal e-mail account held privately through the University of Iowa.
