Happy Holidays! Just a reminder/update that my 4th Annual Iowa Winter Solstice Party will be this Friday, Dec. 15th at 6:30p.m. It will last to around 10:30. Sometimes its been shorter, sometimes longer. The party is a Potluck style social at my house in North Liberty. So bring a friend, a dish to share, eating utensils and your favorite Beverage. This is an Iowa City Area Group of the Sierra Club party, so if you want to visit with some Tree-Huggers, talk about the outdoors with friends, sip some Cider, feel the crackling warmth of the Wood Stove or bask under the Stars while out in the Hot Tub, come on by. Please note: some Tree-Huggers occasionally enjoy our Hot Tub au natural. Also, if the snow is still in decent shape, we could even try for a Snow Angel contest. Just as you enter the North Liberty City Limits at the 25 MPH speed limit sign, you will drive past 2 houses on the left, then spot Juniper Street. Turn left on Juniper Street. Then go 3 houses and turn Right on Juniper COURT. Go down 2 houses on the right and there you are! My house is brown and has a red door with white shutters beside the door. Please note, there is no parking on my side of the street. So you will have to park on the opposite side of the street. You can park in my drive on the right-hand side if you wish. Please keep the left-side of the drive open as Jan will be returning in her car from our day-care's Christmas program with our 2 year-old Ian. So they will need to be able to get into the Garage.
