The paper listed below is interesting in that it is highly predictive of what actually happened, and in that the author shows no ethical reservations about releasing genetically engineered organisms into the environment. Dr. Duvick was of the view that the Earth was created for humans to do with as they wish, the view that has allowed industrial agriculture to develop to the extent it has.
