Saturday May 19 9AM to 2PM  Tour D'sprawl

   The League of Women Voters  of Dubuque and the
White Pine Group of the Sierra Club is sponsoring a
Tour D'sprawl to help publicize and present issues
associated with urban sprawl,unwise expansion of human
development far beyond city centers.
The event will include a field trip by bus to view
both good and controversial urban and suburban
developments in Eastern Dubuque county,lunch,and
presentations folowing lunch, One key participing
presenter will be Brett Hulsey, of the Midwest
Regional Sierra Club office. Brett heads the Midwest
Region's Campaign on Urban Sprawl.Brett helped lead a
similar and well-attended Tour D'sprawl in Jo Davies
County, Illinois last summer.
Registration cost is $15 and is due by May 12 to
ensure space on the bus and guarantee lunch. Hand outs
on sprawl related issues will also be available.
