She will be based in the National Catholic Rural Life Conference office in Des Moines. Teresa's last day at the Council will be July 27. Council seeks Communications Director The Iowa Environmental Council seeks a full-time Communications Director. The responsibilities of the position include developing overall organizational communication strategy, and communicating the organization's messages to our members, policy makers and the general public. Communications Director is also responsible for Council newsletters, news releases, media relations, and grant writing. We are looking for a person who is the right "fit." Generally, we are seeking someone with most of the following qualifications: education and experience in communications, experience in writing/editing/proof-reading, desktop publishing, grant-writing and media-relations, and interest in or familiarity with environmental issues. Actual environmental experience is a plus.
