I am forwarding this in hopes that Iowa Sierrans will contact Nitaya to help
organize meetings in your area as these young women bike through our state
starting next week. They are giving a program in Sioux City on July 30.
They will be staying overnight at the Ledges and then stopping in Ames and
next Des Moines by August 4. They will be looking for a backyard or
convenient campground where they can set up their tents for overnight, too.
They need a slide projector and VCR/TV, plus a screen and a room to make
their presentation. Please contact Nitaya by e-mail if you can help.

Thanks,
Jane Clark

My name is Nitaya Chayangkura and I am coordinating a nation-wide bike tour
for two young women who are riding across the country, from Seattle to
Washington, D.C., to tell others about the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
and what people can do to save it. They will be making a stops in Sioux
City, Storm Lake, Ledges, Ames, Des Moines, Grinnell, Cedar Rapids, and
Davenport starting next week. I am currently working to find contacts there
who may be willing to help us set up a program, because these girls have
slides and videos and would like to talk about the ANWR and raise support
for it.

If you or any others are interested in helping out in any way, or if you
know any helpful contacts, please let me know! I know it is
pretty short notice, so I apologize for not contacting you sooner. I have
materials and additional information I could send to you if you would like.
You can call me at the Tennessee Environmental Council at (615) 248-6500 or
at home (615) 833-4032 if you are interested.

Thank you very much for your time.

Sincerely,
Nitaya Chayangkura
