The Natural Resources Conservation Service (of USDA) will be holding public
meetings to initiate planning on eight dams originally constructed under the
Little Sioux Watershed Program in Cherokee, Monona, and Woodbury Counties. I
hope Sierra Club members living in these counties will be able to attend. If
you can't attend, you can provide written comments no later than December 10,
2001, to Dave Beck, Planning Leader, 515-284-4135. Contact me if you want
more information on the rehab projects.
