I am posting this schedule so you can mark your calendar for meetings in your area. These meetings are open to the public and there is an opportunity for comment, usually at 10:30 a.m. It is also possible to comment on specific agenda items. It's always good to have Sierrans in attendance. This commission deals with natural resource issues such as parks, preserves, wildlife areas, state forests, endangered and threatened species, wildlife and hunting, fishing, etc. They do not deal with water quality, air quality, waste, etc. The meetings are usually on the second Thursday and usually begin at 8:30 a.m. The location of the meeting will be announced a few weeks before the meeting. The commission will resume its monthly meetings on Feb. 14 in Des Moines.
